I ordered the Carbtune II because the carborators on my 1999 HondaMagna were out of sync, resulting in the engine misfireing at idle or just aboveidle. I had taken the bike to 2 shops for the Carborators to be syncronized. Neither one of the two shops was able to accuratly sync the carborators.Both shops were using dial type gauges. Both of the shops that I havedelt with told me that they were in sync and that the bike was running as wellas it possible could. Knowing differently I began researching carborator syncornization tools. After hearing about you at the MagnaRiders Association and reading several great postings about you andyour products I decided to order the carbtune II. I would like to say that afterrecieving and using the Cartune II the bike is now running the best it possiblecan with no misfiring. I just couldn't do it, I'm that pain in the buttguy who has the most exacting tolerances I can get: Your Carbtune II didjust that; the motorcycle is a 1984 Yamaha Venture Royale (1200 cc) withunder 6 thousand miles on it. Needless to say I baby it. This bike hasNEVER been as smooth and vibration-free as it is now. Smoooth, purrrrfect, sweeet. Now, I am a guy who has neverattempted to sync my carbs as I was afraid I would really mess it up. Well,with your unit I was able to impress myself with the fact that "I did it!!!" The unit is so easy to set up, read the gauges, and it made a huge differencein how my bike runs. My carbs were so out of sync, I can't believe itran. My numbers on my 4 carb bike ranged from 8 to 38... I was impressed at the low fluctuation of the gauges which make itreally easy to get the same reading on all carbs during adjustment. As you know, I’m in Thailand. Pattaya to be exact. And today’s carbtune up invovled a trio of Honda rental bikes. A CBR900RR, CBR 400, andCB400 Super 4. The owner has tried in vain to get the bikes running smoothly, butevery Thai bike shop he’s been to has insisted that they have done everything possible, but there’s no hope. I took the offending bikes for a spin and diagnosed nothing more than wonky carburation, and misbalance, and now that I had my new vacuumgauges, I’d be more than happy to give it a go. Many good words filled my mind after running thethree carburetors on the old Yamaha XS750 SE motorcycle (Triple). I followed the instructions in your enclosed book and ,burned my fingers a few times, it was worth it, though, and then noticed immediately how the engine had a more even sound. Opening throttle I immediatelynoticed a better, even exhaust sound from the pipes. Next a test ride provedbeyond a doubt, how even, smooth, and a noticeable low torque pull in slow speed/high gear accelerations that I had lost. After rebuilding my carburetors, I simply could not get the motor to run just right andof course it was the carb balance/tuning. Most satisfied customer over here in Monroe, Louisiana.
