The product is great, instructions excellent but boyis it difficult to get at the adjusting screws on an NC35 Honda. ….Anywaygot the carbs balanced spot on and the result was the elimination of a hesitancyin pick up on the Honda. Two weeks later a mate dropped by on his Hurricane 750 and as a bythe by I mentioned we could possibly look at his carbs. Ten minutes later theywere sorted. As you suggested the system was extremely easy to use. I didn'thave the luxury of having a spare auxillary tank to use as a fuel supply. However once connected up (Yamaha very kindly put balance hoses on theR6 to aid tuning) I was able to balance the carbs within the manufacturerstolerances with the fuel left in the float bowls. In the 70's I had a set of vacuum gages,they where very difficult to use and frustrating to boot. I'd bought a Mercury Manometer about 4 years ago, this worked fine, but proved to not be durable. I took it out of the box, scanned the instructionsand went to the garage and started taking the bike apart (2002 Ninja 500R). The suggestion about using a lawnmower tank for an auxillary tank is brilliant. Worked like a charm. I set up the Carbtune according to the "rules", connected it to the carb and started the bike. Five minutes later(or less) I had the carbs synchronized perfectly. The reason it took meso long is that I have never used the tool before and I wanted to take my timeto get it just right. Words cannot accurately describe how easy thetool is to use! The bike starts easier, has much less vibration (it feels"soft"), the "holy sh_t" factor is back during a hard acceleration, and I am seeingan increase in gas mileage. The Carbtune II is a must have for any motorcyclist! Bravo on producing a top rate tool. Cheers Mate! The Carbtune sure works as well as it looks. Even with the compact size, sensitivity to small setting changes was excellent. Hanging from the handlebar of my 96 K1100RS BMW would not work as the bar does not extend past the fairing. I was however, able to hang the unit from the top vent loover of the fairing side panel. With that set up I was able to pull up a little bench and do the job sitting down with everything right in front of me. Sweet!
